Hytrel was created in 1989 to serve the local market as an independent specialist hydraulic company. Situated in separate buildings but on the same premises as its sister company – Petrel Engineering, Hytrel undertakes all hydraulic service and installations for the Petrel Group and also operates for other manufacturers.

Hytrel offers a wide spectrum of equipment and services. Its reputation is well established in the Western Cape with a competent engineering office and CAD design facilities which can handle large and small projects. All work is carried out to high standards. Test reports and certificates are completed for all repairs and new installations.

Hytrel carries a substantial range of products in its warehouse, with over-the-counter facilities, and hose assemblies that can be made up while customers wait. All work is carried out according to ISO 9000 requirements. This system ensures complete traceability of any work that has been carried out at Hytrel.
